Kirstin and Blake – Center for Wooden Boats – Emma Lee Photography

Kirstin and Blakes wedding at the Center for Wooden Boats was absolutely STUNNING! They chose this venue because they had walked past the Center for Wooden Boats every day for work. And also because Kirstin’s dad is a woodworker, so she knew he would love the space as much as she did. It captured everything they love about their home in Seattle. Lake Union, sailing together, views of the Space Needle, simplicity, minimalism.

We also spent part of their day walking around Queen Anne for some of their portraits, which these two nailed! I just absolutely ADORE Kirstin and Blake. We all love super romantic vibes! So when their reception was lit up by a thunder and lightning storm, casting shadows from the sail loft through the skylights with the rain hitting the roof it was perfectly romantic.

Their day was simply put, perfect! I also love to ask my past couples if they have any advice for future brides planning their wedding and here is what Kirstin said:

If you love to workout and do it regularly, schedule workouts for your rehearsal day and wedding day to help relieve stress! And we included our wedding party which was a blast!

I would strongly advise having a DAY OF PLANNER. Someone to loop in and execute everything day of! As the Bride, you don’t want to be worrying about the execution of any of the details when the day comes. In order to enjoy the day to the fullest, having someone oversee the day is your best bet. Prioritize someone into your budget.
